Our Free Marketing Webinars Are Back
Our free webinars are back, bringing people from across the agricultural and rural industries together each month to talk about marketing.
The aim is to create a relaxed and useful space where businesses can hear practical advice, share what they’re experiencing and learn from other people operating in the sector.
Andy, Ashleigh and Rob kicked off the new series at the end of September with a conversation about reaching the right audience without wasting marketing budget.
They explored how businesses can make better decisions about their audience, channels and campaign activity, rather than simply trying to reach as many people as possible.
There was plenty to get stuck into, so if you missed the live session, grab a brew and watch the webinar back here.
Next Up: Don’t Blame the Leads. Fix the Funnel
More enquiries do not always mean more business.
Generating a lead is only one part of the process. What happens next from the speed and quality of the initial response to longer-term follow-up and nurturing, can determine whether that opportunity becomes a customer.
On Thursday 29th October, from 11:30am to 12:30pm, Jay, Anna and Andy will explore lead quality, follow-up and nurturing, drawing on their experience across a broad range of agricultural and rural campaigns.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions, hear what other businesses are experiencing and join the discussion.
The session is completely free. You can register for “Don’t Blame the Leads. Fix the Funnel” here.

Familiar Faces and Fresh Connections at UK Dairy Day

On 16 September, Andy, Shabawn, Lucy and Ben headed to UK Dairy Day to catch up with clients, capture content from their stands and see what was happening across the dairy industry.
Industry events give us an opportunity to step away from emails and meetings and hear directly from the people behind the businesses we work with.
The team spent the day catching up with familiar faces, making new connections and capturing content that showed clients at the heart of the event.
Those conversations also help us understand the subjects attracting attention, the challenges businesses are navigating and the developments shaping the dairy sector. That insight is invaluable when creating campaigns and content that need to feel relevant to a specialist farming audience.
Thank you to everyone who stopped to say hello. We’ll see you at the next one.
What Does Trust Really Look Like at Work?

Alongside spending time with the industries we serve, September also gave us an opportunity to focus on the development of our own team.
Carrie and Shabawn travelled to London for the Investors in People Conference, where this year’s theme was The Trust Paradox.
The sessions explored what trust really looks like at work, from challenging our own thinking and understanding how our behaviour affects other people to creating an environment where teams feel able to communicate openly.
Former Royal Marine Commando and SAS: Who Dares Wins star Jason Fox also shared his perspective on relying on the people around you when the pressure is on.
Carrie and Shabawn returned with plenty of ideas and questions to bring back to the wider team.
We’re proud of the culture we’re building at Hillsgreen, but maintaining it means continuing to listen, learn and put new ideas into practice. A good Ted Lasso quote along the way never hurts either.
Backing the People Telling Farming’s Story
In September, we were also proud to confirm that Hillsgreen would sponsor the Content Creator Award at the British Farming Awards for the third year.
Content creators play an increasingly important role in agricultural communications.
The people sharing farming’s story online are opening a window into the industry, helping audiences understand where their food comes from and challenging some of the misconceptions surrounding agriculture.
They also give farmers and rural communities a platform to share the realities of their work in their own words, from the achievements worth celebrating to the difficult days that do not always make the headlines.
Supporting the Content Creator Award is our way of recognising the time, creativity and confidence required to tell those stories publicly and consistently.
We’re delighted to continue backing the people helping agriculture connect with a wider audience.

September’s Yield
While the team was attending events, hosting webinars and investing in its own development, our campaigns continued delivering for clients.

Follow the Work as It Happens
September gave us opportunities to share knowledge, listen to the industry and support the people helping agriculture tell its story.

See you next month.
