Hey there! I’m Ashleigh, and I’m thrilled to have joined the Hillsgreen team as Senior Paid Media Executive.
With over 6 years of experience in digital marketing and creative content, my career began after I completed my Foundation Degree in Art & Design. I realised university wasn’t for me and I was eager to dive into the real world. I scoured the internet for a creative apprenticeship and stumbled upon Style Matters. I started as a Digital Marketing Assistant and Creative Designer and swiftly climbed the ladder to become a Digital Marketing Executive.
During my time at Style Matters, I delved into the intricacies of organic social media, email marketing, SEO, branding, and photography. I was working for both Style Matters and its sister company, Stylise Design. My projects ranged from designing brochures to revamping showrooms, and I collaborated with prestigious names in the hospitality industry, including Hotel Gotham, Victors, The Ivy Chelsea Garden, and Champneys Spas. This exciting journey not only sharpened my skills but also deepened my passion for digital marketing.
My roots are firmly grounded in the countryside, having grown up on my family’s dairy farm in Cheshire, agriculture is in my blood, so the transition to the agricultural sector was a natural evolution. I joined the team at Chelford Farm Supplies as a Digital Marketing Executive, a role I embraced during the very first few days of lockdown. Despite the world coming to a standstill, farming didn’t pause; in fact, it became more essential than ever. Marketing to farmers took on heightened significance, as their work continued uninterrupted. During this time, the importance of our E-commerce efforts soared.
As I delved deeper into my role, I ascended to the position of Digital Marketing Manager. I was responsible for managing the overall marketing strategy, as well as being very hands-on in various channels, including paid search, paid social, organic social, influencer marketing, email marketing, SEO, inputting, photography, and events. One of the most rewarding aspects of my role was the opportunity to collaborate closely with over 200 esteemed brands such as Barbour, Fairfax & Favor, Le Chameau, Rutland and JFC.
Outside the digital realm, you’ll find me embracing the outdoors, with my furry companions – two crazy Cocker Spaniels Otto and Ivy, and Black Labrador Shadow. Oh, and perhaps a chicken or two! I capture the essence of the countryside through my love for photography and enjoy going on the shoot during the winter with my family. Beyond the fields, I love spending time with friends, baking and travelling. This year I travelled to Italy and visited Pisa, Florence, Rome, Naples and my favourite, Sorrento.
What truly excites me about my role at Hillsgreen is the opportunity to collaborate with diverse agricultural businesses. Leveraging my deep understanding of both agriculture and digital marketing, I’m passionate about helping these businesses carve out effective marketing strategies that align seamlessly with their objectives. I thrive on the thrill of discovering innovative ways to captivate customers and make meaningful connections.
