The Wealth of Mental Health at Work
This month our Rural Roundtable gave an introduction on to how to take care of the mental health of yourself and others in your workplace. This is a huge issue faced by the rural sector, with research from the Farm Safety Foundation revealing that four out of five young farmers (under 40) believe that mental health is the biggest hidden problem facing farmers today.
We collaborated with Katie Bancroft (Managing Director at Talent Inspire), who gave us a great insight to signs and symptoms to look out for and the ‘right’ thing to say. It’s not diagnosing, advising, or fixing, but the workshop aimed to help you and others to understand what being a well being is.
If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of yourself or a loved one, please seek support.
