Hillsgreen Welcomes Head of Digital, Laura Murray Willis

Hello, I am Laura, the new Head of Digital and Creative for Hillsgreen. I am delighted to have joined the team and really looking forward to this new chapter in my career!

The move to Hillsgreen is an exciting new venture for me, having built my career working in music and brands for 20 years, I am relishing the opportunity to bring my skills and expertise to Hillsgreen and the agricultural industry. I’ve been fortunate to work across all aspects of digital marketing, from organic to paid, content to analytics and everything in between. I am extremely passionate about insights and audiences, I love nothing more than knowing what makes an audience tick and finding different ways to talk and appeal to them.

Having grown up in Cheshire, I moved away to study music at Newcastle University, I then found myself landing my first job in the music industry working for Sony Music. Early on I found my passion for digital and chased down various opportunities across the business that kept building on my knowledge. As the sizes of the projects grew and the roles changed, I worked in an International capacity that gave me great insight into many different cultures and their approaches to digital, this experience has significantly influenced how I handle all manner of projects and clients. Following Sony Music I moved to a wonderful Creative Agency in Tunbridge Wells, I worked across brands such as Eurotunnel and Brown-Forman (Luxury Whisky portfolio) as their Social Content Lead. Finally my last role was at WMA, a global creative agency. I managed the social and marketing team for UK and Europe working across a diverse range of music artists and then in a more strategic role working across brands including Amazon and Huel.

On a more personal note, I have recently moved back to Cheshire from London/Sussex with my two children, Phoebe and Toby, and my husband George after nearly two decades away! We thought what better way to throw ourselves into local life than by joining our local hockey club so weekends are filled with the usual juggle of running both children to sporting activities, and now both parents are in the mix too! Unsurprisingly I am very passionate about music and always love to hear what others are listening to – no better way to gain new recommendations!

I’m really looking forward to immersing myself in our client’s projects, building on my network and delving into the dynamic and vibrant agricultural landscape of businesses that Hillsgreen work with and what the industry has to offer.

Boasting over two decades of expertise in digital marketing, Laura is eager to apply her diverse skill set to the agricultural industry.

Outside of work, Laura juggles sporting activities, such as hockey, with her husband George, and two children Phoebe and Toby – weekends are always very lively!
