Hey, I’m Tom, the new Digital Marketing Manager at Hillsgreen! I’m thrilled to join the team at such an exciting time for both Hillsgreen and the broader agricultural industry.
This role is a step outside my comfort zone since I don’t have a strong background in agriculture, aside from owning the odd flat cap. However, I’m eager to bring my skills to the team, having worked in paid social, organic social, copywriting, as well as brand and creative strategy. I have a passion for data and driving results for clients, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
I grew up in Cheshire, bouncing between Wilmslow and Alderley Edge, and attended Stockport Grammar School before pursuing History at Nottingham University. Despite initially considering a Law conversion, I found my calling in marketing and never looked back.
My journey began at Ropto, an agency stemming from a PPI CMC business, where I refined my skills in paid media, creative content, and managing substantial budgets—over £20M across platforms like Facebook, Google, Twitter, and Snapchat. Seeking broader horizons, I transitioned to Wejo, a SaaS B2B company listed on NASDAQ, focusing on marketing and social strategy, brand positioning, and engaging with senior leadership.
After a stint back in agency life, I ventured into freelance digital marketing and paid media strategies. Outside of work, I’m deeply involved with my childhood rugby club, Manchester Rugby Club, coaching junior teams and occasionally refereeing. Rugby has been a lifelong passion, nurtured through Sale Sharks Elite Player Development until an injury altered my course. Cooking is another love; I enjoy preparing meals for my family and am currently exploring Asian cuisine.
I’m thrilled to dive into the dynamic world of Hillsgreen and agriculture, eager to contribute to our clients’ success.
