The Cheshire Egg Co.

The Cheshire Egg company came to us wanting to raise awareness of their brand to drive sales – both through local stockists / farm shops and their onsite egg vending machine onsite.  The Cheshire Egg Co. is a family business who have been rearing chickens and sharing their eggs with the local community since 1931! Looking after their hens and producing delicious eggs is in their blood. With the introduction of the county’s first egg vending machine onsite, we needed to create a bold brand and online presence for The Cheshire Egg Co. to really drive direct to consumer sales.


The brand has been very well received with eggs flying out of the vending machine! For a smaller local brand, the website has driven over 2,500 visitors to the site with very little promotion. Following the building of the brand and website, lockdown struck, and the team went from restocking the vending machine every other day, to multiple times a day. Demand has grown so much that they have invested in a second vending machine!

How We Did It

As a new brand under the family’s poultry business, the Cheshire Egg Co. needed a brand, it needed an identity, a story to tell. As a family who have been caring for their chickens and sharing their eggs for over 90 years, it was key that family values were at the forefront. Their priority is their hens and their welfare – happy hens needed to be front and centre.


Following a full briefing session to really understand the values behind the Cheshire Egg Co., highlighting their USPs we started developing the brand. With a fresh and clean look, we went on to create a bespoke website to give them a strong online presence too.


Whilst the aim of the business was to drive more sales, particularly for the new egg vending machine, this growth was centred around staying local. To further support this we created adverts for local press, achieved editorial coverage following the turn to local shops as a result of lockdown, and produced organic social media content to build local awareness.
