Two Awards in Two Weeks
The Hillsgreen team have had a busy couple of weeks attending awards ceremonies at the Rural Business Awards and British Farming Awards. It’s great for the the rural sector to get some limelight and to be recognised for our hard work.
At the #RBA’s, we were awarded runner up in the Rural Digital, Communications or Media Business category and at the #BFA we were awarded silver for Digital Innovator of the Year.
The #BFA19 was a wonderful evening, which the Hillsgreen team shared with friends and family and a room packed with the great and good from British agriculture! We were proud to be awarded silver by the legend that is Vernon Kay who did a super job compering the night. It was a wonderful night celebrating everything that is positive in British Farming and we even managed a few hours of work the next day!
Andy said: “It’s been a great year for Hillsgreen, we get to work with some of the most innovative and ambitious agricultural businesses in the country and we could not be prouder to have our work recognised at these award ceremonies – Onwards and upwards!”.
A Great Way to Celebrate the Last 12 Months!
Hillsgreen have had an exciting 12 months full of growth, change and new campaigns. We are proud to have managed campaigns which have proved vital for business development for many of our clients, and ourselves.
Our client base continues to strengthen week by week and we now have a full range of agricultural and rural businesses to add to our repertoire. We truly believe our years of experience in the industry enables us to combine marketing and agricultural knowledge, to really get to know the client and their target audience. Not only have we been able to help clients on a one-to-one basis, but we have implemented our #RuralRoundtable events – A morning seminar free for anyone to attend who wants to learn a little bit more about marketing – We are pleased these have been a great success!
New Premises and New Staff
Business growth has led to Hillsgreen’s internal growth too. Liz joined the Hillsgreen team as Account Manager and has taken sole control of the day-to-day runnings of client campaigns. Not only does Liz have excellent links with Agriculture, but is also well versed on the creative side to – often coming up with innovative marketing strategies and concepts.
This year we moved into our very own office based in Congleton, Cheshire which we’ve nicknamed HillsgreenHQ. However, being country folk, we wanted to be near the farm too – A wall vinyl was the next best thing! The last few months has seen Anna join the team as Account Executive (AKA Chief Organiser). It’s starting to feel like a real team effort now, and we can’t wait to see what the future will hold for Hillsgreen.
In February we decided it was time for change in the dairy industry! A quarter of British people now prefer to drink milk alternatives such as Nut Juice for reasons like environmental and health consciousness or improved taste. Little do they know, cows milk is one of the healthiest drinks around – It’s full of calcium, iodine, protein, and it’s only 4% FAT. It’s also locally sourced unlike many of it’s alternatives. We felt it was time to bust some myths and start shouting about cows milk.
The campaign has reached over 70K people and has initiated talks between producers and sellers. We truly feel the best way to turn this declining industry into a prosperous one is by educating the younger generation about just how good milk really is – Farmers can no longer rest on their laurels if they want to prosper.
What a busy and exciting year – Long may it continue!
