Getting to Know a Marketing Agency: Inside and Out

At the start of my work experience, my perspective was slightly different to how it is now. After six weeks of working full-time at Hillsgreen, a rural digital marketing agency, my view of how an agency like this works is completely different. I wonder what your perception is of digital marketing agencies?
 

Starting Perspective:

The three words that summed up Hillsgreen to me were; Supportive, Determined and Customer Focused.

Hillsgreen, to me, was a rural marketing agency that thrived on client’s happiness and connecting potential customers with great brands and businesses.

Passionate to grow, inspire and ensure that rural businesses have the opportunity to develop through the use of digital marketing tools. I believed there was a strong team spirit from the get go. Everyone supported one another with an overall goal of helping businesses with an array of digital marketing skills and understanding.

Looking at the ‘whole picture’ and not being too specific seemed key, as it allows for analysing potential options and creating effective marketing strategies and campaigns.  As a team, Hillsgreen seemed to live and breathe the agriculture industry and have a strong understanding of the impact different seasons of the year can have on businesses. In addition, they looked to have the insight of what works and what does not.

In summary, I believed that as a growing marketing agency, Hillsgreen were willing to learn and build on their own current position. This compounded to create a positive impact in the agricultural industry.

My view from inside:

My perspective hasn’t changed dramatically, and I feel very much part of an inspiring and knowledgeable growing business.

My three words to describe Hillsgreen have not changed. However, I will highlight that the teams’ attitude and approach are exceptional, with everyone supporting each other in every aspect of both work life and beyond.

The team at Hillsgreen covers a wide range of skills and experience: from organic and paid social, remarketing, Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Conversation Rate Optimisation (CRO), to name a few, along with many years in various parts of the agricultural industry. 

For me, Hillsgreen are always willing to try and help businesses of all sizes in any sector, however, our expertise lie in agriculture, food and drink, farm diversification and rural professional services.
